woodwind quintet

was born out of a shared passion among five wind players from symphoniaASSAI, who wanted to explore and deepen their knowledge of chamber music.

This ensemble brings a unique timbre and dynamism, in which the individual voices of the woodwind and brass players merge into a harmonious unity.

Limburg has a long and lively tradition of harmony and fanfare orchestras and wind ensembles. The ASSAI wind quintet builds on this musical heritage and aims to bridge the gap between this strong regional tradition and the world of professional chamber music. The musicians of the quintet all have their roots in the local music communities of towns and villages in Limburg and still actively contribute to preserving this cultural identity.

Driven by their love of music, they are not only committed to the concert stage, but also to educational projects and coaching young wind players.

The quintet strives to inspire a wide audience and to constantly discover new perspectives within the wind music repertoire.
