Nicolas Dupont
With over 90 concerts a year, Nicolas Dupont is one of the most active Belgian chamber musicians of his generation.
As a member of the Kugoni Trio, the Roeland Hendrikx Ensemble, Ensemble K and the Duo Andaluza, amongst others, he has premiered almost a hundred pieces and has performed in venues such as Wigmore Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, King’s Place, Colston Hall (UK), BOZAR, Flagey, AMUZ, deSingel (BE).
Based in Brussels since 2017, Nicolas frequently travels as a soloist or with his colleagues across Europe and Asia. Despite his young age, Nicolas’ discography includes over twenty-five CD’s with music by Brahms, Glazunov, Franck, Prokofiev, Debussy, Saint-Saëns, Richter, Vasks, Richter, Piazzolla, Khatchaturian, Janáček, Poulenc as well as many Belgian composers.
academic background
Nicolas studied at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris and Royal Academy of Music in London.
Passionate about teaching, Nicolas taught the violin for two years at King’s College London and at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel as the assistant to Yuzuko Horigome.
He is now a violin Professor at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles.
Since 2018, he has been leading the strings at symphoniaASSAI and is beloved by both musicians and audiences.
