Requiem – W.A. Mozart

No other work in the history of music is surrounded by more mystery and legend than Mozart’s Requiem. This vocal masterpiece touches every listener and remains one of the most cherished compositions of the great master. The concert evening opens with Joseph Haydn’s impressive Insanae et vanae curae, a powerful choral work that perfectly complements the restrained grandeur of Mozart’s music. In addition to the Requiem, the KCB Choir, together with symphoniaASSAI and KCB alumni, will perform two shorter yet masterful works by Mozart: the third setting of Regina coeli and the moving Ave verum corpus. The performance takes place in collaboration with students from the Choir of the Kunsthumaniora Brussel.
